There is something about you
That I can’t really tell
Each time I look into your eyes

I’m glad to present to you my new fiction novel, titled Click! She’s stuck in his head 

Here’s a synopsis for the same:

Anil’s life was set to be changed forever the moment he had boarded that Mangalore Express, when a chance encounter brings Aaliah into his life and, within a week’s time, propels their friendship to a full-blown love relationship. But it’s only on Anil’s return from the trip, that Rohit, Anil’s best friend-cum-business partner, suspects something odd when Anil begins to show a photograph of Aaliah to his drunken friends at a party. Rohit being slightly sober notices something strange.

Astonishingly the girl, who Anil verbally describes, looks nothing like the girl in the photograph, who is called Aaliah. And she is the one who Anil claims to be in love with. This raises suspicion in Rohit’s mind as to who the girl Anil was describing could be? And does she even exist, since she is nowhere to be seen in the photographs. With million questions in his mind, Rohit finally embarks upon a quest to uncover the truth behind Anil’s strange behavior.

He never comes around!!

What is it about him, that makes my heart pound
I keep waiting around for him, but he never comes around…
I sit near the windowpane, counting the stars at night,
But the wait is so endless, I feel breathless at all times.

We used to speak for hours and he used to passionately hold my hand,
And whisper in my ears, all his dreams and his plans….
We used to lay together in each other’s arms, lost in eternity….
Where time had no bounds…

There was something in the way, he looked into my eyes….
That ever so melted me, and spoke of our thousand lives…
The lives, that we both had dreamt to create,
For not every day one could find such love to appreciate…

There was something in the way, he touched my soul,
Every time he spoke, I dreamt of growing old,
Growing old in his love, and maturing like wine…
And meeting half way in the heavens, with our hearts intertwined…

For he had no clue, what he made me feel,
Everytime he held me, my heart skipped a beat…
There was nothing in this world, that I had held so close
For me, he was my world, if only he would ever know…

I keep reminiscing the memories we had created,
The moments we had spent together,
Were something that got etched deep inside my soul,
If only, there was a way, to encash it and create some Gold…
I would instantly whip some up and mail it over….

For there is nothing in the world, as hurtful as this,
Where you keep waiting around, but for that someone you don’t even exist…

There were times, when every word I spoke,
Made so much sense…
But today, everything I say, turns rotten and is a pretence…
But what about the tears in my eyes and my silent prayers
Do they mean nothing now…though you once cared…

If only money was the way to gauge someone’s love…
Then yes I’m a pauper and I’ll never have that pearl…
That pearl of priceless money that you ever so yearn….
But fail to recognise what I could be,
If only you realize that God, does see…

God does see your pain and mine equally…
And for me, he would fulfil yours quickly…
But I only wonder, how life would be,
When you’ll get your pearl and I’ll never be…
Be the person, that I was once known to be..

For my love never was once compared….
Not at least to riches,
It is something, that I’ve beyond my reaches…
But how I wish..he earns as much of it soon…
And soars the sky and gets to touch the moon…
But that’s when I can’t say, where I would be…
For my heart can only take so much…
Resentment and Pain….

Its way too daunting…loving you and waiting for you insanely…

I sure have so much I wanna give, but I hold back,
For he is never ready, and I don’t wanna gag him…
Sometimes, there is only so much you could do…
Even if you love someone, so dearly…you have to let them loose…

Sits in his tiny room, where my thoughts would surround…
He would know, how much I was hurting
Coz not everyday, you would find a heart

Are sarcasms harmful for health???

Nahhhh....

Although Oscar Wilde once said that "sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but the highest form of intelligence,". I and for that matter Katherine P. Rankin, a neuropsychologist and assistant professor in the Memory and Aging Center at the University of California, San Francisco would beg to differ….

I find sarcasm as the highest form of wit and humour in many instances…of course, if used wisely and to your benefit…

We know that, no one is as straight faced as they seem, everyone has an internal jabber going on, and when things do not work the way you want, there is ought to be frustration and anger...and there is no other way to vent it out, but be sarcastic…but yes, one can definitely watch their tone, and keep it light and subtle, depending on the severity of the annoyance caused to you by your target…

I love this one, a substitute teacher walks into the room of his colleague and informs her that he would not be taking her class, which he had been assigned. When she had to leave for the day for some personal work, and that there was no way she could take that class now…So after having agreed to back her up, he pulls off the plug at the last minute….If only you could imagine the poor gals state of mind, she can’t even vent her frustration as he is her senior, all she can do is, use her wit and try to stab him hard, without him even realizing it…So she goes something like….

In reply, Debra says “Don’t be silly George, you shouldn’t feel bad about it. I know you’re busy — it probably wasn’t fair to expect you to squeeze it in.” And she says this with a sublime smile on her face, whereby in fact inside her head, she is actually ripping off his hair…to have ditched at the last minute….

In life, we would have had innumerable instances where, we wanted to say something to someone, but are held back, due to our constraints and circumstances…And many of our feelings just remain unsaid and various words unspoken…But Sarcasm in a way, can help you cool off some heat, coz it is a way to convey to someone, that yes you are mad at them, but they are not holding it against them, but also want to show you that, that something you did has bothered them…

One can have varying degree of sarcasms, from light banter to stinging arrows…to the extent that it could ruin relations….So its one’s discretion how one would like to use this armour to convey their internal anguish and pain…

So here’s a stupendous sitcom, that I could not get enough off, love the mind bogglingly, tremendous sarcasms of Dr, Cox played by John C. McGinley from a 2001 comedy medical sit com named Scrubs, stinging ever so badly Dr. Dorian referring to him as Bambi… played by Zach Braff and love the classic insults made to Barbie….name coined for the leading lady of the sit com Dr. Elliot Reid played by Sarah Chalke…You would have Bambi and Barbie crawling in their skins, each time, Dr Cox aims his stinging insults at them….and would laugh your guts out….It is a classic…and would make you fall in love with the witty sarcasms….if only it is used in a humorous manner and not to literally sting and hurt people…which you can though, if the situation calls for…but sarcasm can be like RDX, use with caution…

Apart from this classic sitcom, there are so many new age comedies, which will quench your thirst for witty sarcastic humor...

To name a few:

Big Bang Theory, Anger Management, Two and Half Men, Ray and Robert with their sarcastic banter from Everybody Loves Raymond, then there was Tim Allen from Home Improvement, amazing insults by Michael Kyle played by Damon Wayans towards Michael Kyle Jr played by George Gore II....and the list goes on and on...

As of now, I'll leave you with the best of insults from Scrubs..have a nice weekend….Laugh your guts out…
